Vicki Marie Ritz

Vicki Marie Ritz, 64, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Park Place Elder Living in Mt. Pleasant.

            A funeral service for Vicki will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 15 at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery, rural Rome, IA. Friends may call from 12 Noon -7 PM on Friday at the funeral home. The family will be present to receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the service on Saturday .

            Vicki was born April 6, 1957 in Washington, the daughter of Howard William and Mildred Ann (Wallace) Moore, Jr. She attended school in the Winfield-Mt. Union School District, later moving to the Mt. Pleasant District. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School in 1975.

            She was a baker with the former Donutland of Mt. Pleasant and the Hy-Vee Bakery. She later became a cashier and Assistant Night Manager of the Mt. Pleasant Dollar General Store.

            Vicki enjoyed camping in her early years. She loved listening and dancing to country and oldies music. She was an avid collector of angels. Most especially, she enjoyed being with her family.

            Those thankful for sharing in Vicki’s life include her 3 children: Corey Ritz of Salem, Tami Ritz (fiancé Steve Olson) of Burlington, and Joshua Ritz of Mt. Pleasant; 3 siblings: Melinda (Jerry) Mendenhall of Murphysboro, TN, Julie (Dan) Hill of New London and Shawn (Mandy) Moore of Fairfield; 4 grandchildren: Nathan Williams, Makenzie Ritz, Erica Ritz and Josie Olson and 1 great grandson – Jaxson Ritz.

            Her parents precede in death.
