Margaret June (Caskey) Leeson

  Margaret J. Leeson, 85, of Keosauqua and formerly of Burlington and Wapello, IA, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Keosauqua Health Care Center in Keosauqua.

             A graveside funeral service will be held at 9 AM on Tuesday, September 30 at the White Oak Cemetery, rural Mount Pleasant. There will be no visitation at the Kimzey Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, which is assisting Margaret’s family with her funeral arrangements.

             Mrs. Leeson, the former Margaret June Caskey, was born February 17, 1936 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Florence Caskey. She married Larry Leeson on November 24, 1962 in West Union, West Virginia. Mr. Leeson died Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Burlington.

             Margaret was a longtime housekeeper for several families and nursing homes.

             Survivors include 4 children – Jimmie Leeson of Leitchfield, KY, Patrick Leeson of Hannibal, MO, Terry Leeson of Mansfield, OH and Karen Leeson of Cambridge, OH; a brother – Charles Casket of Perry , Missouri and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

             Her parents, husband, 3 son – John, Larry and Gerald Mills and 2 brothers – Tom & Bill Caskey precede in death.
