Tommy Eugene Mock, 51, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Illinois,  died Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his residence.

Tommy was born September 4, 1972 in Pekin, Illinois. He was the son of Willard and Eula (Manus) Mock. Tommy's father died when Tommy was an infant. He was raised by his mother Eula and step-father Harold Steel.

Tommy grew up in Aurora and La Salle – Peru, Illinois, where he attended school. He was united in marriage to Christina Maria Arteaga.

Tommy was employed at NCI Construction and Building Systems (formerly CECO Industries) in Mt. Pleasant. He loved to watch football and was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Those thankful for sharing in Tommy's life include his wife, Christina Arteaga of Mt. Pleasant; a son – Tommy Ory Mock of Mt. Pleasant; a twin brother – Timothy Mock of La Salle, IL and a sister Mary Louie Knott.

His father, mother and step-father precede in death.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant.
