John L. Clark, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, September 13, 2021 at his residence.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Clark will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 20 at the North Hill Cemetery, rural Wayland, IA, where interment will take place. The Rev. Michael D. Johnson, Pastor, Mt. Pleasant Church of the Open Bible, will officiate.  Open visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sunday at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.

John Lyman Clark was born March 17, 1943. He was the son of John Shirley and Velma B. Clark.

John was a longtime farmer on his family's farm southeast of Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed attending Midwest Old Threshers and the Western Illinois Threshers Show in Hamilton, IL. John also enjoyed the car races in West Burlington and his bus trips to major league baseball games in Chicago and St. Louis.

John has no immediate survivors.
