Jimmy Lee Holt, 44, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and formerly of Tennessee, died Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his residence.

Jimmy was born July 21, 1980 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was the son of Evelyn Holt. Jimmy was raised by his mother and the man he looked up to as his dad, Malvin Griggs. On July 24, 2000 in Waynesboro, TN, Jimmy married Angel Nicole Spivey.

Jimmy began his working career in lumber mills in Tennessee. Jimmy was a longtime forklift and machine operator. Most recently, Jimmy was a crane operator for Midwest Precast Concrete of Mt. Pleasant.

Jimmy was devoted Tennessee Titans fan. He also held a great love of basketball.

Survivors include his wife Angel of Mt. Pleasant; his children – Shayla Mayne Holt and Carissa Leann Morre, both of Florence, AL, Timothy Jaylen Holt of Burlington, Kaymen Edward Moore of Lawrenceburg, TN and Kobe Blayne Moore of Pekin, IL; 2 grandchildren – Hudson and Lindi. Jimmy was expecting the birth of 2 more grandchildren.

Jimmy was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin DeWayne Griggs.
