Jerry Lee Bourquin, Jr., 48, of Wapello, IA and formerly of Ohio, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant. There will be no visitation or formal funeral service.

Jerry was born May 3, 1975 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Jerry Lee and Carolyn (Larue) Bourquin, Sr. On November 13, 2010, Jerry was united in marriage to Christina Lynn Mosier.

While in Ohio, Jerry was employed as a fork-lift driver. He enjoyed working on cars. After moving from Ohio, Jerry had lived in Mediapolis and then Wapello.

Survivors include his wife, Christina; 3 children – Jerry Lee Bourquin, III of Tipton, Johnathon Bourquin  and Zoey Marie Bourquin, both of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings – Debbie Roudebush and Doug Taylor, both of Minerva, OH, Patty Kennedy of Malvern, OH, Gerald, Bourquin, Keith Bourquin and Theresa McLean, all of Carrollton, OH and Bobby Bourquin of Stuebenville, OH.

His parents a sister, Tammy Taylor and a brother, Kevin Bourquin, precede in death.
