Jenny Mae Peterson, 50, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant, which is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.kimzeyfh.com. Jenny was born December 1, 1962 in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Kenneth Dean and Dorothy May (Coen) Ellis. She attended schools in Mt. Pleasant. On October 8, 2002 in Mt. Pleasant, Jenny was united in marriage to Byron Eugene Peterson. The couple later divorced. Ms. Peterson loved music, writing and motorcycle riding. She was known by her family and friends for the meticulous way she kept her house clean. She will be remembered by the many good ways she passed to her children. Those thankful for being in Jenny's life include a son, Aminn Dean Ellis of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter and her husband, Alisha Mae and David Cook of Columbia, South Carolina; her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Ellis of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Terri Jo Ellis and her friend Russell Osborn of Burlington and 5 grandchildren - Aminn Dean Ellis, Jr., Brodie Maurice Ellis, Cady Jo Daily Ellis, Liam Cook and Isaac Cook. A sister, Lori Ellis Fraise and a nephew, Silas Ellis, precede Jenny in death. Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the family.
