Sharon Hendrickson Obituary
Sharon L. Hendrickson, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A graveside memorial service for Mrs. Hendrickson will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 5 at the Fulton Township Cemetery, Moorland, Iowa, where interment will occur. The Reverend Edward Durand will officiate. The family will greet friends at a reception following the service at the Lion's Den (the former Isaac Walton League), 731 Exposition Drive in Ft. Dodge. There will be no visitation at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant, which is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Hendrickson the former Sharon Leann Blunt, was born July 9, 1939 in Ft. Dodge, IA. She was the daughter of Virgil S> and Minnie J. (Johnson) Blunt. She graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in 1957. On August 17, 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ft. Dodge, Sharon was united in marriage to George Thomas Hendrickson. Mr. Hendrickson died Monday, September 27, 2004 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Sharon worked in the furniture store she and her husband owned. She later worked at J.C. Penney and Wal-Mart, both in Mt. Pleasant. Sharon loved to spend time in the outdoors and being with her family.
Those thankful for sharing in Sharon's life include her 6 sons - Rod Hendrickson of Grapevine, TX, Jeff Hendrickson and his wife Tracy of Urbandale, IA, Phil Hendrickson and his wife Dawn of Mt. Pleasant, Doug Hendrickson of Grapevine, TX, Marty Hendrickson and his wife Shelly of Mt. Pleasant and Mitch Hendrickson and his wife Stacy of Pass Christian, Mississippi; a brother and his wife, Jack & Pat Blunt of Ft. Dodge; 2 sisters and their husbands, Virgie & John Fey of Humboldt, IA and Barbara & Gene Kutz of Twin Lakes, IA; 3 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
Her parents, husband and 7 brothers & sisters precede Sharon in death.
