Ruth A. Woodsmall, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.
A memorial funeral service for Ruth Woodsmall will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, at the Pleasant Point Church, rural Mt. Pleasant. Friends may stop by to sign there register at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant, from 9 AM to 4 PM on Friday, Sept. 18.
Ruth Ann Woodsmall was born November 30, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Everett Larain and Livina Irene (Miller) Woodsmall. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1965, and went on to attend college at Southeastern Community College in Burlington.
Ms. Woodsmall worked at the Emerson Electric Corp., for 6 years at IRC in Burlington and for 10 years at the former Metromail Corp. in Mt. Pleasant. She then became a Pre-school Teacher's Aide at the Southeastern Community Action Center (now Tolson Community Action Center). She finished her working career at Step Employment and Hardees in Mt. Pleasant.
Ruth attended Pleasant Point Church. In her spare time, the enjoyed reading and knitting.
Those thankful for sharing in Ruth's life include her son Brian E. Woodsmall of Mt. Pleasant, and 4 sisters - Connie Woodsmall, Betty Goben and her husband Dennis and Dorothy Ellis and her husband Kenneth, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Goldie Coen and her husband Robert of Burlington.
Her parents and a brother, Michael Woodsmall, precede Ruth in death.
