Donna Sue Cisco, 71, of rural New London, IA, died Monday, April 08, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A private family committal service will be held at the Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, at a later date. The Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mt. Pleasant is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Cisco, the former Donna Sue Lewis, was born September 5, 1947 in Oskaloosa, IA. She was the daughter of Ralph Leo and Helen Arlene (Groutvelt) Lewis. Donna graduated from Pekin High School in 1966. She then attended the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids and became an L.P.N. On September 18, 1969 in Mt. Pleasant, Donna was united in marriage to James Andrews "Jim" Cisco. Mr. Cisco died September 19, 2005.
Prior to her marriage, Donna work in the Pediatrics Dept. of St. Luke's Hospital. After her marriage, she became a homemaker to raise her family.
Donna was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Burlington. She had been a member of the Nature Club and the College Bowl. A true lover of nature, she was active in the establishment of a bluebird trail and very much enjoyed feeding birds of all species.
Those thankful for sharing in Donna's life include her 3 children: Jennifer Riepe and her husband Sam of Mt. Pleasant, Matthew Cisco of Colorado and Bradley Cisco and his wife Sarah of Iowa City; Donna' fiancé - Joseph Lawlor of rural New London and 3 grandchildren - Elliott, Eleanor and Tiber Cisco.
Her parents, husband and 2 sisters - Marsha Hess and LaVerne Lewis precede Donna in death.
