Deloma A. "Dee" Leyden, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
A memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant. The Reverend Deborah J. Stowers, Senior Pastor, First United Methodist Church, will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Leyden, the former Deloma Alma Lena Stutheit, was born August 20, 1931 in Elk Creek, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Julius and Ella Sophie Marie (Rockemann) Stutheit. She was raised in Elk Creek and graduated from Bratton Union High School in Humboldt, Nebraska. On October 29, 1984 in Henderson, KY, Dee was united in marriage to Robert LeRoy Leyden. Mr. Leyden died Monday, April 1, 2013 at their residence in Mt. Pleasant.
For many years, Dee was owned and operated a health food store. With her husband, they owned and managed several rental properties. She dearly loved garage sales, and often had one herself. She raised vegetables to sell at Farmer's Market.
Dee's church membership was with St. James Lutheran Church, Long Branch, where she had been baptized and confirmed. Her deepest love was of square dancing. Her husband Bob was a square dance caller and with Bob loved to attend square dance events.
Those thankful for sharing in Dee's life include her 2 children - Gary Goos and his friend Connie of Burlington and Connie Goos of Lincoln, NE; 3 grandchildren - Rebecca "Beck" Winburn, Brandon Gary Goos and Cortney Ann Rockwood and her husband Jed. 11 great grandchildren - Monica Goos, Alecia & Autumn Winburn; Brantley, Tristan, Jayden, Colton, Chloe and Dylan Goos; Graham and Millie Rockwood, and 1 great great grandson - Mason Goos.
In addition to her parents and husband, 3 brothers - Leonard, Clarence and Melvin Stutheit and 1 sister, Lareene Aden, precede Dee in death.
