Cora Glover Obituary
Cora T. Glover, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, December 09, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A funeral service for Cora Glover will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 13 at the First Baptist Church, 100 E. Webster St., Mt. Pleasant. The Reverend Regan D. Stoops will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call from 12 Noon to 8:00 PM on Monday, Dec. 12 at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant. The family will be present to receive friends from 5-6 PM Monday evening.

Mrs. Glover, the former Cora Treva Marshall, was born March 8, 1934 in Washington, Iowa. She was the daughter of Leon Marshall and Grace Stull Marshall Abrahamson. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. On September 14, 1950 at the First Methodist Parsonage in Mt. Pleasant, Cora was united in marriage to Glenn Merlin Glover. Mr. Glover died on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at their residence in Mt. Pleasant.
From 1966 until her retirement in 1992, Cora was the bookkeeper, sales clerk and administrative assistant at the Supply Co-op. She remained with the company after it was known as Farmland Co-op. She handled most aspects of the business, from sales to stocking to mixing paint.
Cora was a very active member of First Baptist Church. She served as a Deaconess and Sunday School teacher, as well as participating in the activities of the Prayer Circle and of numerous bible studies. Cora loved to read and help her husband Glenn on their farm west of town. Most especially, Cora dearly loved going to lunch with her friends and nieces.
Those thankful for sharing in Cora's life include her 2 daughters and their husbands - Connie & Ted Toenjes of Urbandale, IA and Sheryl & Rick Buesch of Osceola, IA; 2 grandchildren - Jonathon Buesch of Osceola and Jennifer Dyckman & her husband Nyas of New Zealand; 1 great granddaughter - Myrian Grace Dyckman. At the time of her death, Cora was in anticipation of her second great grandchild.
Her parents, husband, 2 brothers - Van & Leon Marshall and 2 sister - Lenora Scarff & Sharon Hamman precede Cora in death.
